Vehicle Combatives
2-day training event.
Day 1 – On the Range:
Location: Eastern Ontario Shooting Club (Private Training Area) – 4570 Drouin Rd. Clarence.
Approximately 30 min drive east of downtown Ottawa.
Date: Friday, 29 September ‘23
Time: 10:00am to 5:00pm.
Pistol and Non-prohibited firearms only training.
E.g., Pistol and Pistol calibre carbine (PCC); Ballistic effects / deviations while shooting through vehicle materials.
Movement in and around vehicles including cover Vs. concealment considerations.
First aid – When / Where / Why / How to apply tourniquet.
Massive bleeds, airway obstruction, signs symptoms for circulation and shock.
Combative integration – Fighting in confined space, fighting / from a vehicle while facing resistance.
Day 2 – On the mat;
Location: 379 Danforth Ave. TBC – Location subject to change and will be conducted in the Ottawa area.
Date: Saturday, 29 July ’23.
Time: 9:30 am to 4:00 pm.
Mixture of full spectrum approach to combative self-defence.
Striking, Clinch, Ground, Edge weapons use & defence.
Medical considerations pertaining to massive bleeds, airway obstruction, signs / counter measures to shock.
Participants will require the following:
1. Valid PAL(R) firearms license.
2. ATT through CFO for out of providence residents.
3. Pistol / gun belt / min of 3 magazines / magazine carrier.
4. Plate carrier or soft body armour. *Kevlar helmet if you own one – bring it.
5. Non-prohibited semi-automatic long gun, E.g., PCC, bolt gun or shotgun.
6. Long gun sling.
7. Range kit including Eye and Ear protection.
8. Valid proof – CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK.
Long pants, decent footwear optimal for grip / traction / ankle protection, long sleeve shirt, light pair of shooting gloves.
Food and water as necessary, Sunscreen and bug replant.
Minimum round count:
PISTOL – 500 rounds (Frangible or lead ball only. NO green tip or steel core).
LONG GUN – 700 rounds. (Frangible or lead ball only. NO green tip or steel core).
SHOTGUN * If applicable – 125 slug shot only (Lead only, NO Steel shot).
DA will provide:
Range training venue, derelict vehicles to train on, range kit and targets, safe training parameters, TR2 tactical respirator,
coaching and instruction, tactical first responder instructor / First aid training, mat space, training aids, protective equipment. *Helmets will be provided for in-vehicle shooting stages.
Minimum of 6 and a maximum of 10 participants.
Fees:
Before September 27th – $849. (Early bird fee)
After September 27th – $999.
