Defensive Tactics Course:
Tuesday and Wednesday
14 May 24 – 1230 pm to 5pm.
15 May 24 – 830 am to 12pm.
Location: Reflection Conference Room – Blue Mountain Resort – Collingwood, Ontario.

Registration is through the OTAB website.  Sworn police officers only.

Day 1 – 1230 to 1700
Striking, clinch and ground related skill development.
Edge weapons defences – increased survivability techniques.
Use of ballistic shield to assist officers with subject control measures.
Day 2 – 0830 to 1200
Weapons retention drills.  Long gun and pistol.
Defences to spontaneous edge weapon attack while managing a long gun.
Clutch and grab counters
Kit and & equipment management while on the ground.

Participants will require:
Full operational / duty kit and equipment.
Duty pants and t-shirt.
Wrestling boots for on the mat.
Mouthpiece / jock.
Light pair of shooting gloves.
* NO SIMUNITION / NO LIVE AMMUNITION.  ** THIS TRAINING IS ALL DRY ONLY.

MMA session will be offered for those interested in some supplemental training:
Tuesday evening (Post DT course Day 1).
Bring:  Muay Thai shin pads, 16 oz boxing gloves, MMA training gloves, Gi, Shorts & T-Shirt.
Approx:  5pm to 7pm
