K9 Specific Training -  Interoperability Enhancement

Date: 25-26-27 November, 2025
Time: 0900 to 1600 daily

Day 1 - Tuesday:
DT skill enhancement with K9.
Location: Troop room, RCMP TTS (3 Shirley Blvd.)

Day 2 - Wednesday
Firearms Training: Pistol & Carbine Concentration
Location: Stittsville ranges, Range #5A (7265 Fernbank Rd. Stittsville, ON)

Day 3 - Thursday
CQB: Methods of structural clearance with K9.
Location: 1200 Vanier Blvd. Ottawa (Former RCMP HQ Building)

Maximum of 10 participants.

Participants will receive:
K9 integrated concepts & principle- based training approach.
Tactical firearms application to enhance fundamentals, speed & accuracy. 
Subject control techniques  including contact officer & supporting officer teamwork. 
Interior combat movement. 
IRD / Active killer scenarios. 
Containment & entries.

Participants require:
*   Full operational kit & equipment
*   Pistol / gun belt. Simunition kit + 3 magazines
*   Carbine rifle / sling + 3 magazines
*   Eye / Ear protection
*   Working service dog / long lead / short lead + applicable K9 related resources

Minimum round count / participant:
*   800 rounds live carbine (Ball, duty or Frangible)
*   50 rounds Simunition / UTMs non-lethal marking cartridges
*   600 rounds live (Ball, duty or Frangible)
*   25 rounds Simunition / UTMs non-lethal marking cartridges

Optional;
Mouthpiece, Jock, Cup
