Sport, hobby shooters interested in learning to safely conduct training while working from a holster.
Designed most optimally to build confidence for the Novice to intermediate shooters.
Topics to cover:
– Range safety and firearms safety protocols,
– Kit set-up and considerations,
– Pistol preparation for fire,
– Draw stroke and re-holster actions,
– Fundamentals of pistol shooting,
– Malfunction drills and trouble shooting potential issues,
– Drills and skill development,
– Confidence building,
– Single hand only shooting,
– Target selections and set-up,
– Steel shooting safety and stand-off considerations, and
– Shooting on the move.

WHAT – Safe Action Holster Course – Pistol
WHERE – 2345 Stanfield Rd., Unit #400, Mississauga
WHEN – Saturday, 8 February, 2025, 0830 to 1600.
WHY – To build confidence and provide shooters with exposure to movement while working from a holster.
Participants will required the following:
– Valid PAL(R) firearms license,
– ATT (Authorization to travel – Out of province residence),
– Pistol, gun belt and holster (outside the waistband holsters only),
– Magazine carrier and minimum of 3 magazines,
– Eye and ear protection – safety equipment,
– Light long sleeve shirt, comfortable pants, closed toes footwear optimal for an outdoor environment,
– Extra layer of clothing for comfort, baseball cap, water bottle, food as required, and
– Optional lightweight shooting gloves.
Minimum round count:
– 600 rounds of pistol ammunition.
Ball, frangible, JHP ammunition only.
Fees:
$575 (Early bird fee).
$675 (After January 1st).
Maximum of 8 participants.
