1-day training event designed for the hobby/sport shooter interested in a tactical experience.
Fun and competitive 2-gun challenge.
Integrating pistol and shotgun, we’ll offer a progressive approach to building confidence and effective marksmanship principles.
Firearms safety and range safety protocols. Target placement and selection.
Saturday:
Pistol & Shotgun fundamentals; Malfunctions and re-loads. Working from a holster. Drills and techniques to assist the shooter with efficiency, movement, and accuracy. Shotgun ammunition changeover drills, shot selection and effects. Shooting on the move. Re-loads on the move.
Enjoyable stages offered to challenge shooter abilities and function. Transitions between pistol / shotgun. Shooting steel targets.

WHERE – Stittsville Shooting Ranges. 7265 Fernbank Rd., Stittsville. Range #5A.
WHEN – Sunday 6 July, 2025. 9am to 4pm.
WHY – To build confidence with pistol and shotgun shooting application.
Participants will require:
– Valid PAL(R) firearms license.
– ATT for all out of province firearms license holders.
– Pistol (Restricted) and shotgun (Non-restricted semi-auto or pump-action).
– Gun belt, holster, magazine carrier, minimum 3 x pistol magazines, dump pouch / shot-shell carrier, shotgun sling.
– Eye & Ear protection.
– Decent footwear for outdoor range movement, pants with back pockets / side pockets, light weight long sleeve shirt, baseball hat, sunscreen, bug repellant, water, food / fuel as required.
Minimum round count:
Pistol
500 x live rounds (Ball or Frangible only).
Shotgun
150 x Target load / #7 Bird shot.
50 x Target load / #4 Buck shot.
25 x Target load / Slug shot.
Recommended Prerequisites:
All participants have a comfortable level of firearms handling and safety. Minimum of 2 years shooting experience (Pistols and Shotguns). Physically fit and mentally healthy.
Maximum of 8 participants per training group.
